School is out as students are enjoying these warm sunny days free of homework, exams and the occasional early morning school bus sprint. Several members from the youth ministry have already returned from special retreats with their peers from St. Alphonsus Liguori, but there is still more coming up this summer! See below for two other special summer events that you may want to register your child for.
Summer Dayz - Tuesday, July 19 through Thursday, July 21
This three day event invites incoming 7th and 8th grade youth to experience living the Beatitudes through service, fellowship and a celebration of the sacraments. This year's theme, "Blessed," will offer various service projects that students will fulfill for others in need across Central Indiana. After a hard day's work of serving others and God, students will also get the opportunity for fun summer activities involving water parks and bowling.
Cost: $50 per person (includes meals and admission to activities) Location: Guerin Catholic High School will serve as "home base"
Early Registration ends Friday, July 1 Late Registrationends Monday, July 11 and will include a $10 late fee Register online now at ZionsvilleCatholicYouth.com Summer Bible Study - Mondays on July 11, July 18, August 1 & August 8 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This summer both middle and high school youth are encouraged to enjoy a four-part bible adventure covering the Book of Revelation. Using a special DVD series of powerful presentations by Mark Hart, the "Bible Geek," and Vice President of Life Teen Ministries, sessions will be both engaging and informative.
Cost: $9 per person (includes workbook and DVD presentations) Location: St. Robert Room
