Aug. 18, 2011 - World Youth Day (WYD) 2011 is underway in Spain, and 44 pilgrims from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana are there to take part in the celebration.
Together, in the company of about one million other young adults from around the world, they are enjoying a myriad of faith-based activities, including Mass with Pope Benedict XVI!
On August 17, Brea and Megan posted, “A group of us spent the afternoon at a vocations fair in the city. We met many people, religious orders and priests from all around the world. We ended the afternoon with dinner at a local cafe with great lemon ice cream and wonderful conversation amongst friends."
Several websites, like EWTN.com have been streaming live events from Madrid. Tune in to the closing ceremonies on Sunday, August 21.
