Feast Day of St. Alphonsus - Monday, August 1, 6:30 p.m., Parish Hall
Happy Feast Day to all parishioners! This special day recognizes and honors St. Alphonsus Liguori. Join us in the parish hall for a special presentation by Father O'Keeffe that will discuss the spirituality of St. Alphonsus. Following the talk will be a reception with refreshments and food.
Haiti Medical Meeting - Tuesday, August 2, 7 to 9 p.m. in Weitzel Hall
Medical professionals from the parish are welcome to attend this gathering and presentation that will review the needs of St. Alphonsus' Twin Parish, St. Anthony of Croix Fer, and address where assistance and care can be provided. Attend this session to learn more and see how you can be a part of this charitable opportunity.
Theology on Tap - Mondays - Aug. 8, 15 and 22 at Oobatz Restaurant
The series continues with the final three speaker events at Oobatz Restaurant. These sessions were created for young adults, but all are welcome to attend. Come listen to speaker presentations on "Seeing God," visit with other young adults and feel free to order dinner to complete the night.
Coffee and Donut Sunday with SCRIP - Sunday, August 14 following both Masses
Join your parish friends and family after Mass for a social gathering of refreshments and food. Follow the crowd to Weitzel Hall and while you're there, feel free to peruse through a large selection of SCRIP gift cards to a variety of popular merchants in the area. SCRIP gift cards help give back a small amount of purchases to support St. Alphonsus Liguori. Plus, SCRIP makes great gifts especially for college students to take back to school with them!
World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain - August 16 - 21 - Madrid, Spain
The largest youth gathering in the Catholic Church will be taking place this month as high school, college and young adults from across the globe gather in the streets of Madrid to celebrate their faith, grow in spiritual formation and strengthen their relationship with God. Saint Alphonsus Liguori has three members attending this amazing trip. Please pray for them and all youth attending. Come Holy Spirit, Come!
2011 Catechetical Conference, Eucharist: Source & Summit - Saturday, August 27
Hosted by the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Lafayette, this Saturday event will offer Mass with Bishop Doherty, a keynote speaker and special breakout sessions that include topics such as: How Mary leads us to the Eucharist, How to make a Holy Hour, Catechizing children on the Eucharist, Third Edition of the Roman Missal and lunch!

Youth Ministry Kickoff for 2011-2012 year! - Sunday, August 28, time TBD
Youth of Saint Alphonsus Liguori, prepare for the start of another enriching year of youth ministry. This opening event will bring together parish youth following a long and restful summer. "Be Not Afraid," because the 2011-12 year will be another amazing spiritual journey full of faith, sacraments, fellowship and prayer.
