Next to every church is a rectory, and in every rectory is a priest, right? Well, in most cases. Ever wonder what it'd be like to not have a resident priest at your family's parish or to have to share a pastor with another church ... in another town? This is actually the situation for two parishes in our very own diocese. Watch this two minute clip and hear parishioners share this story.
Supporting the need for future priests (for parishes like these and ours) is possible through prayer, gifts, and even encouraging others to discern their vocation. This weekend, families may offer a gift to directly help seminarians in our diocese with their education and other formation costs. Gifts may also be dropped off at the parish office, or another Mass, if your family will be out of town this weekend.
Check back on ZionsvilleCatholic.com for more featured clips as we continue to celebrate vocations throughout June.
St. John Vianney, patron of parish priests, pray for us!
