What is the largest Thank You card you have ever seen?
We asked the children in the parish's RE program one question, "What are you thankful to God for?"
Just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving, the Religious Education children have come together to create a project expressing their thankfulness to God. Composed of more than 300 pieces is a giant thank you card to God that towers high in the narthex. While every individual piece expresses the gratitude and blessing of each child, the overall message is a reminder that the Lord has blessed all of us with many things, and from these blessings, we are able to bring the light of Christ to others.
Take a moment this weekend to peruse the RE Thankful Project wall and see what meaningful messages they are sharing about their gratitude for the blessings in their life.
What are YOU thankful to God for? Have you stopped to take a moment and thank Him lately? How do you share your gifts and talents to bring joy and the light of Christ to others? Start a new Thanksgiving Day tradition - come to Mass! Even though it's not a liturgical feast day, start you Thanksgiving Day off with your parish family. Thanksgiving Day Mass is at 9 a.m. Feel free to bring unprepared food (e.g. breads, wine, vegetables, etc ...) in a basket for a special blessing.
