Did you know that 50 years ago the parish community of St. Alphonsus Liguori moved to its current location at 1870 West Oak Street? A parish family that began in 1945 as a mission, purchased land on what is now State Road 334 and broke ground to build their first church.
Today, that church, the now Parish Hall, will soon reopen as Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Hall. To celebrate this newly renovated and newly expanded facility will be a special dedication dinner and dance for parishioners. Come enjoy an evening out with your St. Alphonsus Liguori friends!

A little more history: Before 1962, the parish began celebrating Mass in the living room of a home owned by the Weitzel family. Later, as the congregation grew, the mission parish purchased a larger house at the corner of 2nd and Sycamore Streets, which served as the first St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Zionsville.
After a second move and following a Dedication Mass in 1963, the first church at West Oak street had one renovation in 1986 to make room for an increased number of families who were attending Sunday Mass. Then in 2004, the current church the parish celebrates the Liturgy in opened its doors and the previous place of worship became a social hall for various activities.
About newest renovations: As recent plans were first produced to upgrade three major St. Alphonsus Liguori facilities in order to meet the needs of families and ministries, the plan for Parish Hall was to make it into an event facility that is sure to "wow" just about anyone who walks in the door. The additions will include a large commercial size kitchen with updated appliances and special storage units, a dance floor for various receptions and parties, large display screens and a built in speaker system that will enhance any presentation event. Well, that's only some of the many great additions to this building, so make plans to attend the dinner to see its full potential! Even though the doors to the building will open soon, this dedication dinner and dance will be the first elegant occasion to really show off everything this awesome facility has to offer.
