Anne Ryder, television journalist, writer and motivational speaker will visit St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Zionsville, Indiana on Thursday, November 10 to share her own amazing faith journey as the guest speaker at Mary’s WAY (Women Answering Yes). The program will take place in Weitzel Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. and concluding by 8:30p.m. Admission is $12 and includes dinner and dessert.
Founded by Ann Winkle of Chicago, Ill. in 2002, Mary’s WAY now has several chapters throughout Indiana and Illinois. The organization is aimed at deepening our Catholic faith by uniting us more closely to Jesus Christ through the perfect example of his holy mother, Mary, and her absolute abandon to the will of God. All this is achieved by the power of the Holy Spirit through prayer and fellowship, shared meals and, of course, heartfelt witnesses by dynamic guest speakers.
Anne Ryder, who was 15 years old when she lost her mother to cancer, has earned 15 regional Emmy Awards and five national honors, as well as several other prestigious service awards. Along with reporting and anchoring the news for 20 years, she created and produced “Hope to Tell”, a series of stories about faith, hope and resilience of spirit, which took her all over the world, including Calcutta, India, where she was afforded the rare privilege of an interview with Mother Teresa.
“The trip to Calcutta was a watershed experience. My encounter with Mother Teresa redefined my career but also deepened my personal faith,” Ryder said.
In 2002, a medical emergency prompted this career woman to radically change her life for a more balanced, spiritually centered way of living. Hear Anne Ryder’s testimony at Mary’s WAY, while devoting time and prayer to Our Lord through his Blessed Mother.
Please register for Mary’s WAY by Monday, November 7.
