Lisa Williams, Director of the Lebanon Community of Shalom, received a Christmas blessing, thanks to the 2018 Deanery Poverty Grants of the Lafayette Diocesan Foundation, Inc. For the second year, the Lafayette Diocesan Foundation, Inc., has awarded the St. Alphonsus Parish ministry a $5,000 grant for the Shalom House.
The Shalom Hot Meals Program and its Kids' Sack Lunch Program will benefit from the grant. Numbers of meals served in 2018 are not yet available, but Shalom served more than 13,000 hot meals and 22,900 lunches in 2017.
