Holy Day of Obligation - Sunday, January 1
Celebrate the feast of Mary, the Holy Mother of God at Masses on Tuesday, December 31 at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, January 1 at 9 .m.
First Friday Adoration - Friday, January 3 until Saturday
Join others in the Day Chapel following 9 a.m. Mass on the first Friday of each month for Eucharistic Adoration. This special prayer opportunity will be available until 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 4. Come spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament!
Children’s Liturgy of the Word - Sunday, January 5 & 19 at 10:30 Mass
Young children who have not yet received First Communion are invited to participate in this program which occurs twice each month. Parents are also invited to help out. Look for the special invitation from Father at Mass as the children will process out to the Reception Room for the Sunday’s Readings.
Family BINGO - Saturday, January 18 at 6:30 p.m. in Parish Hall
Back by popular demand … another night for family fun will be hosted by the Knights of Columbus. Bring your children and luck as the BINGO numbers are called for some fun and exciting prizes!
Procession of Roses - Sunday, January 19 during 10:30 a.m. Mass Each year the parish remembers and honors lives lost to abortion following the ruling on Roe vs. Wade. Near the anniversary of this Supreme Court ruling, we will have a special rose procession at the start of Mass. Several parishioners will walk toward the altar with a rose and cross as a melody plays and the church bells ring. Each person will represent a year when lives were lost by abortion since it was made legal in the United States. Read more
Welcome Breakfast for New Families - Sunday, January 19 in Parish Hall
Each quarter the parish hosts a special brunch for newly registered families at St. Alphonsus. Invitations have gone out, but there is still plenty of room. If you or your family still feels “new” and would like to learn more about the parish and meet others, come on over. Please RSVP by sending an email to communications@zionsvillecatholic.com. We’ll meet following the 10:30 a.m. Mass.

The Caritas Christi homeschool community is welcoming a special Brazilian Mission Team to the parish to speak on life in Brazil and what the Church is doing to help.
Parish Chili Cook-off - Saturday, January 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Come samples some flavorful favorites as parishioners bring their top chili recipes to a cook-off contest. Members of Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) teams welcome all parishioners to enjoy this fun evening of fellowship. Come meet others from your parish community in Parish Hall.
High Definition Religious Education - Saturday, January 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Older students in the parish’s RE program are gathering for another night of HD-RE. They are covering topics of faith that are specially presented for young audiences by local theology teachers. Students will meet in the Entry into Jerusalem room inside Weitzel Hall.
Mass in Slow Motion - Sunday, January 26 at 2 p.m.
Have a friend or family member who maybe came to Mass with you during the Christmas Season, but did not really understand quite what was happening during the Liturgy? Mass in Slow Motion is a great opportunity for all Catholic as well as their friends and family. We will celebrate the Liturgy for the Holy Mass in the church while Father pauses to explain specific parts and prayers. This is a great opportunity to learn and participate.
