The weekend of
November 17/18, representatives of the Land of Peace mission, a non-profit organization whose goal is to build a charitable hospital in Bethlehem and to aid needy families in Bethlehem and Jerusalem, will speak to us about the situation for Christians in the Holy Land. They also will be selling crucifixes, rosaries and religious art work made of olive wood, which is native to Israel.
Because tourism has diminished so much, Christian families in the Holy Land, who depend on tourists, have been greatly affected. Sales of these goods help them while giving us the opportunity to have something authentic from the Holy Land as an aid to our personal devotions. Please plan to buy some items for yourself and for friends and relatives on your Christmas shopping list.
