Three exciting family activities are around the corner for your family! As children await Christmas to celebrate the Nativity of the Lord and discover what treats Santa left behind ... help them prepare for the season by celebrating a saint, bringing joy to others in the community and gathering for a family-friendly film.
St. Nicholas Celebration
Tuesday, December 6 is the feast day of St. Nicholas and children of St. Alphonsus Liguori are in for a surprise. Join families of the parish as we partake in an evening of stories, songs and craft activity stations. Plus, children will learn about St. Nicholas and maybe even get a special visit from him. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Parish Hall. Be sure to RSVP your family and friends. Oh! Make sure the kids bring a shoe so that they can have it filled with special treats.
Christmas Caroling
Well, it won't quite be Christmas, but we will be singing Christmas carols and bringing joy to others homebound or in nursing homes. Entire families are invited, and feel free to bring a neighbor or friend along.
The event will take place on Saturday, December 17. The group will meet in Weitzel Hall at 11:30 a.m. to arrive to the first destination by 11:45 a.m. Following our adventure, we'll return back to Weitzel Hall for some warm refreshments, snacks and fellowship! RSVP below so that we may plan for enough families.
Family Rosary & Movie Night The Embrace Life Committee and Knights of Columbus are pairing up once again to bring another exciting movie night for families. Join others in Parish Hall on Friday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m. as the evening begins with the Holy Rosary and then a special viewing of the film, The Star of Bethlehem. The event is free, but donations for paying film fees are appreciated.
