We are blessed to have some exciting changes occurring in our Faith Formation Department! In order to meet the needs of our growing parish with a large population of young families we have added a new coordinator position to work with Baptism and Marriage preparation as well as family-focused ministry. Brenda Knecht is transitioning to this new position after serving our parish as Coordinator of Religious Education for the last six academic years. Her new job title is Coordinator of Marriage and Family Education. Keep an eye out for some new opportunities coming for parents and families…be sure to take advantage of them!
We are very happy to announce that Jen Matura has joined our staff and is serving in the role of Coordinator for Religious Education. Jen, her husband Joe and their two sons have been members of St. Alphonsus for over 6 years. Jen will be working with Vacation Bible School, First Reconciliation, First Communion, and the Pre-K through 6th grade religious education program. She is looking forward to working with the catechists and families. There are still openings for our religious education program, but you should register now!
Kimberly is excited to have the gifts of these two faith-filled and fun ladies being used to better serve our parish family. “The three of us are looking forward to expanding ministry and reaching more of our families. It will still take the many hands from our numerous volunteers (and even more of them) to accomplish the goals we have set…but we know our parish will make it happen!”
