Celebrate Advent with several exciting activities to prepare for the Nativity of the Lord on Christmas!
A STRONG Family Advent – activities for home
St. Alphonsus’ Family Formation looks for ways to help build strong families, parishes and communities … by starting within the home. A STRONG Family Advent has a list of ways that families can celebrate the season as we prepare our hearts for the Nativity of the Lord.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word - each Sunday
During Sundays of Advent, Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered for our youngest parishioners at the 10:30 a.m. Mass. All children who have not yet received their First Communion are welcome to follow their friends at the start of Mass to the Reception Room where they will learn and discuss the readings of the day with this interactive program created especially for them!
Parish Crèche - throughout the season of Advent
Watch the parish’s crèche grow throughout the season of Advent as more statues are added to the manger scene that will soon house baby Jesus at the 12 a.m. Christmas Mass. Coins thrown into the crèche bucket go toward adding future pieces.

Members of the parish's Religious Education program will be receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Join them and their families in the church.

Bring your family and those sitting in the pew next to you to Parish Hall after Mass for food and fellowship.
Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception - Monday, December 9 at 9 a.m. in the church
Since December 8 falls on Sunday, the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is superseded by the 2nd Sunday of Advent. However, this important solemnity does not just disappear this year. Instead, it is transferred to Monday, December 9. Even though it is not considered a day of obligation this year, Mass for the feast day will still be celebrated. Offertory gifts for this collection may be submitted at the Mass, or you may place specially marked envelopes in the offertory at the weekend Masses.
