I did struggle a bit with the design and completely started over after working on another mosaic with the crucified Crhist on it. The design was just too hard to read from a distance, so I decided, after several hours of work, to start over.
I prayed a lot while working on the candle - mostly the Rosary and the Our Father with a few other prayers like Anima Christi sprinkled in. The prayers kept me centered and motivated. The Paschal Candle was a pleasure to make, and I appreciate the opportunity.
