Here is a small sampling of activities happening at St. Alphonsus Liguori next month.
Fridays during Lent: Stations at 6 p.m.; Adoration at 9:30 a.m.
The parish will have Eucharistic Adoration following the 9 a.m. Mass until the following Saturday at 7:30 a.m. in the Day Chapel. Also, Stations of the cross will take place in the church at 6 p.m.
Fridays during Lent: Fish Fry Dinners - 5 to 8 p.m. in Parish Hall
No need to worry about dinner on Friday, because the Knights of Columbus have you covered with their excellent fish fry dinners. Swing by Parish Hall to dine in with others, or order some to take home for the family.
Family Movie & Rosary Night - Saturday, March 2 at 7 p.m.
Come enjoy a family-friendly film, enjoy snacks and pray the rosary together. This Saturday, the Knights of Columbus and Embrace Life Ministry are hosting another Family Movie and Rosary Night as a great event for families to share together.
Coffee & Donuts - Sunday, March 10 following morning Masses
Warm up with a fresh brew of piping hot coffee to wash down a delicious sweet donut or wholesome bagel. Join other families for this monthly opportunity for parish fellowship.
Mary's Way of the Cross - Thursday, March 14 at 9:45 a.m.
Women in God's Service (WINGS) welcome all ladies from the parish to attend this special opportunity for prayer in the St. Robert room following the 9 a.m. Mass. In addition to prayer and meditation, guests will also enjoy brunch while in the company of friends.
Lenten Penance Service - Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. in the church
Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the annual Lenten Penance Service. Several priests from the diocese will be available to hear confessions beginning at 7 p.m.
Haiti Medical Mission Trip - Monday, March 18 to Friday March 22
Please include our Haiti Medical Mission volunteers who will traveling to village of our Twin Parish to serve and bring supplies for families. This will be the parish's third medical trip and fourth overall visit.
Mass of the Lord's Supper [Holy Week begins] - Thursday , March 28 at 7 p.m.
Join us for Mass of the Lord's Supper in the church as we prepare our hearts for the Easter Celebration that is soon approaching.
Office of Readings & Morning Prayer - Thursday to Saturday, March 28 - 30 at 9 a.m.
As we near the end of Holy Week the parish will have prayer services in the Day Chapel.
Veneration of the Cross - Friday, March 29 at 1 p.m. (with Communion) or 6 p.m. (with Tenebrae)
Join us for the Veneration of the Cross on Good Friday. Holy Communion will be offered at the 1 p.m. service. At the 6 p.m. service, the congregation is also welcome to participate in the Tenebrae tradition with the lighting of candles.
Children's Stations - Friday, March 29 in Weitzel Hall
From 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., groups of children will depart every 10 minutes to travel through Weitzel Hall. They will stop inside individual rooms to learn about that station of the cross and complete a hands on activity.
Easter Sunday Masses:
Saturday, March 30 - Great Easter Vigil at 8:30 p.m.
Sunday, March 31 at 6 a.m., 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
