For many, this past week was probably the first time we may have turned the heat on in our cars if we drove early in the morning or late at night. Cooler temperatures are certainly a refreshing break from the hot summer we survived, but the crisp fresh air cannot help but cause us to look forward to what's ahead this fall. One great St. Alphonsus parish tradition will continue for families featuring colorful pumpkins, hayrides and a German biergarten!
Save the date for these two exciting Knights of Columbus events happen Saturday, October 6.
Pumpkin Fest - fun for the family! It’s “all in the family“ as free food and fun are served up in the athletic field and parking lot that afternoon. Enjoy a relaxing hayride before going for gold in the pumpkin decorating contest, and don’t leave before getting your face painted in the spirit of the season. Before heading out, be sure to adopt a pumpkin or two to take home.
Oktoberfest - German food, brews and music! After the Pumpkin Fest, there will be a few hours to relax and recuperate, call the babysitter and come on back to the parish grounds for an adult evening of camaraderie and entertainment. Oktoberfest will feature live music, great food, fun games, exciting raffles and dancing until midnight.
More event details and information on raffle ticket and admission sales for Oktoberfest will be announced in coming issues of the parish bulletin and online at ZionsvilleCatholic.com.
