Dodge Ball & Charity

What could be a more fun way to raise money for a good cause than by playing a friendly game of dodge ball with your friends? Well ... our youth ministry couldn't think of anything that could be more exciting and that's why they have created this spring event for adults and high school youth happening on Saturday, March 17.

Taking place at the Zionsville High School gymnasium, this Dodge Ball Tournament will include competitive action packed into a friendly and fun atmosphere (with pizza) for family and friends.

Plus, tournament proceeds will go to support China Little Flower, an organization that takes in and cares for orphans in China who suffer from various illinesses, terminal illness, disabilities or abandonment. This pro-life charity offers loving care that celebrates all life.

So you want to play ... and support these adorable children? Awesome!

Here's the game plan on how to get your team registered to play:

1. Select your team of players: Players must be high school age or adults and can have various skills. Teams must be between 6 -10 members total. No more than 10, or someone will have to be benched. Each team pays a $40 registration fee which includes pizza for your crew. Registration form in step 2.


2. Register before the deadline (extended to March 14): The registration form says the deadline is March 10; however, we're giving you and your friends the lucky opportunity to form your team by March 14. Fill out your registration form


3. Discuss your team name and look: Okay, so the clever name and unified dress is optional for teams, but we're not going to leave out that team names and "uniforms" will be judged based on creativity for a chance to win a select number of prizes. (Hint: Create some team "spirit gear.")


4. Return your form no later than Wednesday, March 14: Hurry before spots fill up.


5. Show up and play: Game day is Saturday, March 17. This is also known as St. Patrick's feast day ... so that must certainly increase your luck for winning! Or maybe that's stretching it a little. Be at the Zionsville High School Varsity Gym by 6:30 p.m. for registration. Competition runs from 7 to 9 p.m.
